Affirm the separation of church and
state, so that religious entities
are free from control by the state, the state
is free from undue influence by
religious entities, and the religious liberty
of all may be
preserved.
Enact National
Voter Registration
Standards that ensure uniformity of voter
registration, establish technology
providing for voter-verifiable paper ballots
as an integral part of the voting
process, eliminate barriers to voting by
expanding the hours of polling,
provide for mail-in absentee voting, and allow
election-day registration.
Pass a Federal
Right-to-Vote Act.
Request a special,
independent commission on
election reform be empanelled by Congress.
Charge this commission with
examining the 2000 and 2004 elections,
investigating allegations of abuse,
manipulation and voter suppression, and
current electoral process-related
deficiencies. The findings of this commission
are to be turned over to a
special prosecutor, so that any abuses can be
appropriately addressed via legal
action and/or election reform legislation.
Require all
government entities to clearly inform voters of
their
responsibilities and rights regarding voting
procedures, locations, and any and
all changes from prior elections. This
notification shall be done not only in a
timely manner, but also more directly than by
means of “legal ads” placed in
privately owned and published
newspapers.
Require that the
FCC reinstate enforcement of the Fairness
Doctrine.
Require all videos produced by the government
to clearly identify to the viewer
that they are government-generated and not
independently researched
documentaries.
Support the Nuclear
Non-Proliferation
Treaty and oppose the continued development of
a new generation of nuclear
weapons.
